At 23, I lost everything I thought my future would be. My world fell apart.
What followed was a choice: stay where I was or start over. I chose to start over. A new degree, years living abroad in Lisbon, Beijing, Sharjah and London where nobody knew me or my story, a career built from scratch, and eventually buying a home on my own in Amsterdam. This home is a daily reminder of what I am made of.
This loss taught me to truly listen. Not to reply, but to understand. What people say and what they actually mean. What sits just beneath the surface. I start to build once I understand what the real challenge is.
